Anyone have any scholarship suggestions that are specific to UW applicants, or in-state residents? If not, could you share your 'scholarship' story? Thanks :)

This is a scholarship site created specifically for WA state residents: [theWashBoard.org | Login](<a href=“theWashBoard.org | Login”>theWashBoard.org | Login)

Saddly UW offers no National Merit scholarships! Arrggh! However, should this apply to you, their are two excellent instate approaches.
First, Husky Promise- If your family income is below a certain percent, and I think its 65%, of the median state income, then UW will foot all the bill.
Diversity scholarships- UW offers sooo many! I feel like a kid in a candy shop. Generous awards and bestowing eith these.

My only suggestion is to apply for all of them that you can. My experience is with need based scholarships. I fell under the Husky Promise and received a need based scholarship. Good luck!
