I was accepted last week into Pitt/honors college with a 31 and 3.9 UW at a dual curriculum school. Yesterday, I received a letter specifically from the honors college but o mention of scholarship. When should I hear about scholarship if i actually get it?

I’ve been noticing that the only scholarships we are hearing about so far are full tuition. I know in years past there were also $10,000 scholarships for out of state students and a smaller amount for in state students. Do those tend to come later for the students who didn’t quite make the full tuition level?

It took almost 3 weeks for them to send scholarship stuff to me after the honors college thing, and people who applied after me got notification before i did. So i wouldnt worry too much

My daughter received her scholarship notification today, 25 days after acceptance. Out of state, 10K scholarship for 1480/2240, top 2% rank, good ECs.

electronblue, I am also puzzled. It seems to me that your daughter is certainly in the zone for a full-tuition scholarship. I’m not sure what Pitt was thinking. You could call or e-mail, just to confirm.

My son received his $10000 scholarship offer today as well. It is probably right because while he got a 34 on the ACT, his GPA was about a 3.7 uw. His school does not rank. He’ll give the chancellor’s scholarship a shot, but - without - Pitt will be much more expensive than his alternatives.

I got my acceptance letter today with no mention of honors college/scholarships at all in the initial packet. Does that mean I didn’t get anything? I’m OOS 3.98 GPA 31 ACT, with a friend who has very similar stats and same course-load who got into honors college and got a lot of money. If it didn’t mention anything about honors/scholarships in the initial letter does that mean I’m not getting anything?

ditto dtc727. I got my acceptance packet yesterday, but no mention of a scholarship. I have 1480/2240 and 35 ACT, with top 0.5% class rank, and 3.95 UW GPA. I should be in the running for a scholarship, right?

Admission (the letter mentioned the honors college)
Honors College Information
Scholarship Letter

In my son’s case, it took about three weeks from the time of the admission until the scholarship letter came, but Thanksgiving was in the middle of it all.

I don’t know. My daughter was admitted at least a month ago. Honors college stuff followed, but no scholarship info. She has 1500/2220, 4.8 weighted/3.97 unweighted GPA,
IB diploma candidate, OOS.

My scholarship letter came a few weeks after the honors college letter, and I had 1480/2270 and 4.16/3.99. Pitt’s trying to get out of state students, so that might help.
