scholarship timeline

Land, I would contact Pitt if I were you and just double-check that your daughter’s scholarship didn’t fall through the cracks somewhere. Couldn’t hurt.

Full tuition offer came yesterday along with invite to apply for Chancellor’s (sp?). Isn’t it kinda late for applying for that?

Congrats! No, it’s not too late to apply for the Chancellor’s if your daughter was invited to do so. I believe you have a two week window to get everything done.

My son got into Pitt honors college but no scholarship letter yet… its been several weeks…we just got two letters from them in the past week, one to my son from the dean and the other to us as parents. But no scholarship letter.

His stats: 33 ACT, 3.7 unweighted GPA, 4.3 weighted

still no scholarship letter for my son…that is why I suggested he apply to U Pitt, because I read here that he would likely get a scholarship, grrr

Katytibbs, my son had similar stats - 34 ACT and 3.69 uw gpa (school does not weight) and he received the $10,000 OOS scholarship. Unfortunately, that won’t be enough to make Pitt doable for us. In any case, you might want to give them a call and ask.

I think the competition for scholarship money is very competitive this year so what would have gotten $$$ last year might not this year.

I initially got into Pitt with a 1310/2040 SAT score. After my acceptance I got back my ACT results (34), sent those in, and after about two months found out I got into the Honors College/full tuition scholarship. From what I’ve seen around here, it seems like Pitt sometimes does things quickly and other times takes a while…
