So I was accepted to SSOE about a month ago. I didn't hear anything about UHC and was wondering whether I should give up hope to expect any money.
SAT: 1410/2110
SATII: chem: 750 Math 2: 750
GPA: 3.5 UW 4.0 W
Rigorous course load. competitive school.
5 APs the rest honors
very involved in music program.
good ECs
sent in two recs and an essay.
should I expect to get anything or should I just give up hope. I heard that I was eligible for UHC from my SAT score but it was not on my acceptance letter. I would like to go to Pitt but unless I get some money I don't think my parents will go for it.

UHC is 1400 M+CR plus top 5% of your graduating class (if your school ranks) although this can sometimes not be a deciding factor. Really the only thing is does is let you apply for UHC housing and UHC classes without asking for permission first. After your first term, if you have above a 3.25 QPA you are automatically UHC eligible for everything.

The scholarship committee only meets once a week (I think Fridays unless that has changed). While you have good states, you don’t have GREAT stats (i.e. super high SAT/GPA etc.) You also don’t mention IS/OOS. It seems Pitt tends to give more money to OOS students, although SSOE is a little different. Keep in mind that the deadline for even accepting applications for scholarships isn’t until mid-January. It may take you until March or later to hear about money.
