There are several schools/programs that give very generous merit scholarships to NMF but there are others that don’t give anything. You are not going to get those schools to match an NMF offer (100% COA) from another school. From her application, the schools all know she’s NMF and they didn’t offer a scholarship based on that.
It may be too late now, but Florida has a program for NMF to get COA scholarships to 12 schools. Kentucky and UT-Dallas have generous programs, many schools give larger scholarships to NMF.
You have one full ride that she’s been accepted to. Go with that school.
It is not too late to apply to UAlabama’s NMF award. Simply apply. Then contact the scholarships office to let them know the student is NMF. There may be a box to check on the app, I don’t remember.
They’ll tell you what you need to provide. You’ll have to name Bama as #1 choice on NMCorp website by May 1.
Apply NOW. The award is huge.
Edit…have you already been accepted to Bama? If so, please contact the scholarships office to find out what they need. When my son was NMF, I think we had to send a copy of his NMF paper that he got in Feb of that year.
And you have to name Bama as #1.
