hey everyone. i'm a senior and i have a question about how generous gw is in terms of scholarships. cuz the only way im going there is if i get enough money (cuz my first choice is cornell and its at the state price meaning i only have to pay like 30,000 and gw is like 50,000 correct me if i'm wrong). my spanish teacher's son got 25,000 and economically we're around the same, i have higher test scores, gpa, and extra curriculars, but i'm asian and he's hispanic. i also have the gw engineering medal. so how much do u think i'll be able to get if i write a good essay, have good recs, and get my sat scores higher (i have a 2000)? thanks =)

Seems to me like you have answered your own question. When people ask what are my chances at admission; that is hard emough. Guesinng somebody's aid package is even harder.

..."my spanish teacher's son got 25,000 and economically we're around the same, i have higher test scores, gpa, and extra curriculars, but i'm asian and he's hispanic. "

I would say asked and answered.

also GW gives out really good engineering half scholarships. you might have a shot at those.

I don't know your scores but GW is very generous with half-tuition scholarships. I am from a public school in Kansas City and atleast three kids from my graduation class got half-tuitions to GW. Rght now all you can do is apply and see.
