scholarship

i got in EA but didn’t get a trustees scholarship
only got 10K for each year.

just bumpin this thread up because im still wonderin if anyone who got in EA found back from the full tuition scholarship (trustee, etc) ?? because the people who got it so far seems to be RD so im just curious

D got in EA and has not heard anything about Trustee. When we went for the EA open house, Fin Aid told us that she was in contention for it, so there is a lot of disappointment here.

15k/year, Dean’s Scholarship :-\ but my SAT scores weren’t spectacular so I couldn’t really expect a full ride—I’m really growing partial to this school though, so it would suck if I couldn’t attend because of financial reasons—I am, however, still waiting on some other decisions (not too optimistic about those though, hah.)

I applied EA and am only praying that I can get a Trustee Scholarship. However, I doubt it’s likely since I was initially only award 5k per year. I was very disappointed as I thought my stats would earn me more. Maybe I’ll get a little more? I really want to go to Northeastern, but I don’t know if I want to graduate with 40k in debt.

admitted RD into the spring:

I got 10k a semester…so depressing it hurts inside -_-

jc you mean 10 a year? because 10 a semester would mean you got a 20,000 deans scholarship lol

but yeah coretto i hope its not too late im gona give them a call tomorrow and ask… so ill let you all know

I got 11000 per year deans and 5500 unsub stafford loans. Is there anything else I can do to get more money? I’m always wondering when schools say their averag financial aid package is like 24000. How do kids get that through merit and loans? I always thought the maximum stafford loan was 5500. Oh well, I really want to go to NEU, but I’m not sure what I could do to make it more affordable. You guy have any recommendation? Should I call or email them? I know I prob. Won’t get more merit aid and since I already got the max 5500 stafford Loan I’m not sure what else to do.
Thanks

dtc727/ yeah i wonder if i could get more aid from nu

$20, 000/ yr. includes $12, 000 grant, 2 loans, and work-study :)

Is it too nosy to ask what your GPA and SAT scores are? I cannot understand why my daughter was offered $8K at Northeastern and $14K at Loyola of Maryland, an equally good and selective school.
