Ok so I have two scholarships this year that will pay for college. Scholarship 1 gives refund checks while Scholarship 2 doesn't. The thing is, is there anyway I can "prioritize", so to speak, my scholarships so I can guarantee I will receive a refund check. What I dont want to happen is that the University uses Scholarship 1 money first leaving Scholarship 2 to pay the little left over and I dont get any. I was hoping all the money from Scholarship 2 can be used first so Scholarship 1 could pay the rest of the tuition, and still have some money left over to give to me.

You need to ask your school if they can “prioritize” the scholarships

Well, you could send in the “no refund” check to the school first, let them process it, then later send in the other one.

Are the scholarships send to school directly or to the student?

Remember that excess scholarship money not used for approved education expenses (room and board are not ed expenses, nor is a car, rent, new clothes, etc) will be subject to taxes.

theyre sent to the school directly

Are you certain that there will be a positive balance after tuition, etc, is paid?

Yea, I’m positive.
