If a candidate gets scholarship money from a corporation, say $1000.....but the coproation needs to send the check directly to the college and not the candidate......will the USNA accept the check and apply the monies to the candidates out of pocket incidentals? How exactly does this work?

Yes to the above, but make sure the said candidate has an official appointment before sending anything anywhere. The monies can be applied to his “loan” that is automatically issued for issue [uniforms, computer, etc].

There will be details in the packet[s] that is[are] mailed out in May/June to those with appointments.

Some scholarships say that they cannot be applied to Academy students–perhaps the commissary scholarship?
