Noimagination, we’re wondering the same thing about National Merit Finalists so please post anything you find out.

it seems that those who scored 1900 and up on the SAT were awarded scholarships and i got a 1890 =[. If i were to retake the SAT in january and resend scores, can i be reconsidered for a scholarship? I really need some more money to attend. Any help would be appreciated!

I got $20,000 a year from the Dean’s Scholarship and got into the Honors Program.

Regarding National Merit - it’s only awarded to national merit finalists, and potential finalists don’t find out until February.

Also, I was wondering about the Trustee Scholarship - the website says “National Merit and Achievement Finalists may also be considered for Northeastern’s Trustee Scholarship.” Does that mean the Trustee Scholarships haven’t been awarded yet but will be eventually (after National Merit results, probably)?

D got in Chemical Engineering, Honors, Dean’s Scholarship 20,000…very happy!

I received a very prompt reply. She basically just quoted the scholarship website but reaffirmed that we should send over our NMSF documentation now.

Here’s the text:
I’m wondering what document to send, since the congratulations letter in my NMSF package doesn’t actually have my name on it. Maybe I’ll include a link to the page my school district has listing all the semifinalists…

Re: Trustee’s scholarship. My son received notification that he had received the Trustee’s Scholarship in mid-March last year. Prior to that, he had the highest amount in the Dean’s Scholar category, and that was awarded with his EA decision in December. You won’t know if you got the Trustee’s until regular decisions come out.

As far as National Merit full tuition, the school says that you are “eligible” but not guaranteed to receive it. I think that might be because they have a limit on how many full tuition scholarships they want to award. However, every National Merit Finalist I know received full tuition last year.

I had 2010 superscore SAT (1960 highest sitting) and I didn’t get any scholarships or merit money =
