Scholarships asks me for annual income

What if I were to put $22000, and when they asked for proof it came out to maybe $23000 or $24000? I'm not sure about it right now and I'm trying to get through ASAP..Would I get in trouble? I'm only doing a rough estimate/guess.

Give your best estimate. If it turns out your income is too high to qualify they will just not give you the scholarship. You won’t be in any sort of trouble. Have seen it happen with the Gates when a student just misses Pell eligibility.

A difference of $1k-2k is not a big deal for private scholarships. The problem would be if you put $22k and your family really earned a lot more.
