Scholarships at U of Michigan?

I think I want to apply to the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, but I am a bit concerned because of their high cost of attendence. It is listed as about $42,000/Year this year. My question is-how generous is Michigan in both financial aid and scholarship money? I come from an upper middle class family and I am looking for some sort of scholarship money as well. My stats are listed below. Anybody want to chance me for a scholarship or give me some info on financial aid? Thanks so much!

Try posting this on the UM forum too, Alexandre and others may be able to help you.

Which school are you applying to, LS&A? Assuming that you will send your ACT and that your HS schedule is rigorous, you could be in the running for one of the LS&A Deans scholarships (5-20k/yr). Don't forget to apply early! Also, recognize that tuition will go up by about 2k/yr when you have enough credits for jr standing.

Need based FA is not likely to be generous because you are an upper middle class OOS student.

alright thanks, that helps alot and i will post in the michigan forum. i will have taken 3 APs and multiple honors by the time i graduate so i figure that to be fairly rigorous
