anyone know of any good scholarships for sophomores, jrs, and srs? I'm starting freshman year this fall and I wanna get a jump on any possibilities.

BUMP... I'd like to know this too.

Your best bet is local scholarships. My D received 3 local scholarships for sophomore year that were renewed. Oftentimes the reapplication process is much more streamlined, since they have your application from the previous year. Good luck!

Bump..........

Another thumbs up for local scholarships....two of D's scholarships from last year were renewed - one of them actually gave her $500 more for the upcoming sophomore year!!!!

She also reapplied to a local credit union scholarship that she applied for but did not receive last year....this year she got $1000 - we're thrilled!!! So in other words, double check any scholarships you find - some of them may not be exclusive to freshman....

bump .

Also check with your school and more specifically, your department. My d was awarded a scholarship through her major (department) last year. She just received word she was awarded another (larger) scholarship through her department for next year. I believe she had to apply for these with separate applications but I'm not sure. These merit awards are IN ADDITION to the merit award that she received as an incoming freshman (and that award has been renewed each year). Her financial aid grants have NOT been reduced either - her school gaps so there was still "need."
