Scholarships/ FAFSA question

As it is, I qualify for a FAS Bright futures scholarship, a university scholarship , and $1800 dollars of FAFSA.
I don't know about the others, but the university scholarship was the only one that said "only works toward tuition"

First, I was wondering how is the $1800 disbursed? Is it 1800 every year? every semester?

Secondly, with the FAS scholarship and university scholarship mixed, my tuition is completely covered. I was wondering though, would I be able to use the $1800 from FAFSA towards books and transportation, or does it get applied to tuition only?

If not does it get applied towards tuition before my university scholarship (which does say it only works towards tuition) meaning it would just cancel out because my tuition is already covered. (thus, I would have no leftover money for books, transportation, etc.)

Sorry, hopefully I described the situation well...
Thanks

Do you mean $1,800 in a Pell Grant?

Your university scholarships should be applied first, meaning that you will get a check for the Pell Grant amount each semester to apply toward books, transportation, etc.

The Pell Grant amount is for one year - you will get half at the start of each semester.

Yes, in a Pell Grant.

Thank you very much!
