Scholarships for college freshmen

I know I asked this before but can anyone tell me Scholarships I could apply to ? I'm a college freshman, white, italian, Eagle Scout, dependent of a veteran, New York resident, Catholic, a biology/pre med major, and I currently go to school in PA. I applied to a couple of Scholarships over winter break from z i n c h. But I don't think I received any of them. Please post scholarships, or illegitimate scholarship searches I could look in it.

The best scholarships for incoming freshmen are awarded by the colleges.

Check with your high school GC. They should have information about local scholarships. The applications for those probably are just beginning to trickle in.

Remember that these outside scholarships must be reported to your college if you receive them… And will reduce your financial need. Also these are typically for one year only.

But every penny count!

Oh I’m a College student not a high school student

The best place to look is in your current college. There are often scholarships for continuing students, they are usually given out through the various departments.

My college said they don’t give any Scholarships out besides the ones that you entered with

You need to look for scholarships at the local level, where there is much less competition than those that are advertised online. By this, I mean your hometown or high school. Even though you are a freshman in college, the Guidance Dept. from your high school may be the best place to start. There are usually some scholarships that are specified for upperclassmen only. Depending on your HS, they may have information/application links on their website. Also, your hometown library may be able to provide info about local scholarships, too. Good Luck!
