Scholarships for International Students

I am considered an international student because my application for permanent residence is pending. Because of this, I have found that I am not eligible for many scholarships, as they require applicants to be US citizens or permanent residents. I am also not eligible for scholarships provided by my home country.
What scholarships do not ask for immigration status? What scholarships help regardless of status?
I have already found a few so far, but I would like more.

Each college/university posts information about scholarships and financial aid right on its website. Each independent scholarship also posts the information about necessary qualifications. There is no single source you can go to for the information that you need, sorry! You have to research each organization separately.

It depends on the college. Some universities offer scholarships (or need-based financial aid) for students hailing from certain areas, such as the University of Texas system. I guess it depends on the country. It is certainly easier to find international student scholarships to the US as a Mexican or Canadian.

Maybe you need to do a gap year and then apply when you have residency. Do you think you’ll get residency within the next 12 or so months?
