Can anybody please list down all the colleges in the USA which offer full or at least 50% scholarship to international students?
Thanks!
Mainly Ivy Leagues
That is not true - plenty of colleges offering 50%+
What’s your budget?
What are your stats?
Do you mean automatic/meritw competitive/merit, need based?
That’s not an easy thing to ask for, @mobeenfarhan25. As w/ basic budget & some stats there are a bunch of posters around here that can offer good suggestions.
BUDGET: APPROX $30000 per year
STATS: GPA 3.89, HAVE TO GIVE SAT 1 AND 2 THIS YEAR. AND PLENTY OF EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS TWO MUNS, 2 BRONZE MEDAL IN INTERNATIONAL KANGAROO MATHEMATICS, SUMMER SCHOOL AND ETC.
NEED BASED…
The SAT is really important- it might be more useful to wait until you have a score
There are several varieties of financial aid in the USA:
- Merit scholarships granted automatically for qualifying stats: http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/ This list is updated from time to time on CC; do a search.
- Competitive merit scholarships (offered in varying average amounts to varying numbers of students; capped in some cases to a certain amount such as $20K or $25K) http://competitivefulltuition.yolasite.com/ https://www.kiplinger.com/tool/college/T014-S001-kiplinger-s-best-values-in-private-colleges/index.php?table=prv_univ https://www.kiplinger.com/tool/college/T014-S001-kiplinger-s-best-values-in-private-colleges/index.php?table=lib_arts (on the Kiplinger pages, you can click-sort any column, including the two marked "...non-need-based aid"
- Need-based aid Amounts depend on each school's calculation of your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), based on family income, financial assets, number of children, and other factors. About 40-60 colleges claim to meet 100% of "demonstrated need", as determined by those calculations. https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/articles/2017-09-21/colleges-that-claim-to-meet-full-financial-need Almost all these colleges are "need aware" for international admissions (meaning that high need may make admission less likely for internationals, especially in borderline cases). Most of them also are very selective. EFC calculations may vary significantly from school to school.
Each school’s Common Data Set, section H, should indicate whether financial aid is available to internationals, and if so, the number of students who get it as well as the average award amounts.
