I really want to attend Parsons next year, but to say my family doesn’t have the means to get me there is an understatement. What is the highest amount scholarship the school will give? And what other scholarship/grant options are there?
They do give out merit scholarships to international students based on their portfolios, but these are only partial scholarships, and international students are required to prove they have the money available to pay the rest. They do have an office for international students, so you could call or email that for more specifics. Another option is to do your first 2 years at an inexpensive art school local to you, and then apply to transfer in after 2 years. I have heard they are open to transfers.
