Scholarships for Middle School Students

Hello. I'm a student who just turned 8th grade (btw, I homeschool). I'm planning on going to a boarding high school in Virginia. It's going to cost me 33,000 a year. AND it will be inhumane for me to ask my parents- my sister has to go to college soon. For financial aids, we need to fill out various papers and proove various things, and a few of them we don't even qualify for. I really, really want to go to this high school!

So my problem is this: how do I earn $33,000 in less than a year? I'm already using fastweb and such, but most of the contests are for at least high school students or graduate& undergraduate. AND I heard it's really hard.

Please reply! I need as many suggestions as possible!!!!

virtually all aid for K-12 students comes from the school and is need based. Sometimes some loans are available.
Why can't your parents continue to homeschool you/try public school/private day school?

I just replied to you in another thread. Your case is different from most, because you are in the United States on a nonimmigrant visa. For some applicants, there are other possibilities.

Anyone who is academically talented, low-income, and will be in eighth grade next year should check the requirements for the Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholar Program. Anyone of any age under sixteen who is EXTREMELY bright should check the requirements for the Davidson Young Scholar program. I don't think either program fits your situation, but one or the other may fit the situation of other families reading this thread.

Apply to your school of choice, and see what it says.
