i heard that National Hispanic Scholars can get a full ride...is it a myth or the truth?

U of Florida: up to $16,000 per year. But this was a couple years back.

i thought it was only National Merit and achievement only. but if this is true, awesome.

Not true. S attended a recruiting weekend last month at UF for outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students and nothing was mentioned about special scholarships for them.

I heard they slashed national merit scholarships from $24,000 to $5,000.

I have emailed the specialist who deals with national merit/achievement/hispanic scholarships and asked about this. I will update upon reply.

thanks you guys!

No money given. This was their reply:

"Thank you for your interest in UF. The University of Florida does not participate in the National Hispanic Scholarship Program, therefore we have no incentives for an incoming students other then our Nationally ranked educational programs. I am sure that you are aware of our academic reputation and hope you continue to consider our institution as a top choice."
