Scholarships for SAT writing score

I recently took the SAT, and I am very disappointed with my score. However, my best section was writing and I am happy with how I did on that portion. Are there any scholarships specifically for decent writing scores? (I got a 710).

Thanks!

I don’t think there are any scholarships for any one part of the SAT and especially writing since it is a fairly new section. Also, I know in my daughter’s senior class of 300 there are at least 4 students with 800’s on the writing section.

@Moreover:
I’m sorry to add the question. Is there any scholarship for SAT on the whole?

There’s something called the National Merit Scholar / National Achievement Scholar (it has a bunch of different formats) whose forum is here[/url”>National Merit Scholarships - College Confidential Forums]here and whose website is here[/url”>http://www.nationalmerit.org/]here. But you have to take the PSAT previously and score above a certain qualifying score determined by your home state (I believe it is in the junior year of high school) and then “confirm” that score with a similar showing on the SAT.

Alabama, Auburn, Troy, LSU, Ole Miss, Utah State, and Ohio University all give significant scholarships based on SAT + a qualifying GPA.

I think Sharon is an international and wants some scholarships to pay for NU - she applied ED.

I don’t think there are many private scholarships for int’ls in the US. She might need to look for scholarships in her own country and/or maybe from a club/group in the US that are her nationality.

Sharon, what country are you from?

I’m from China. Thank you for knowing what I want!
