Scholarships for soph/junior students?

im a current college freshman. im not a minority and im doing economics. what are my optiomns for college scholarships since im obviously not able to get high school senior entering college schoalrships anymore?

there aren’t many scholarships for current students (which is why students can’t often rely on private scholarships for their entire college education).

However, if you check with the dept of your major, there may be some offerings there.

Since you’ve already matriculated, your school is likely to be the only source of scholarship money available to you now, but m2ck is right – most scholarships are reserved for incoming freshmen. Check with your school’s financial aid office to see if there are any specific scholarships for which you might be eligible, like ones designated for certain majors.

I understand the scholarship search process, not fun, though fortunately I was able to get scholarships that will last 4 years. Already being a college student you may find various scholarships but most will be one year renewal(eventhough Ialready have four year scholarships I just searched out of interest).
I am also studying Economics and Political Science and have not notice any specific scholarships that could be awarded.

The best place to look for scholarships for continuing students is at your college. Colleges often have departmental scholarships for specific majors. There are not many outside scholarships for current college students.

It is very difficult to find scholarships for continuing students but there are some out there. Here is one for economics for a junior or senior

It takes a lot of effort to find the scholarships for continuing students but you can find a few. I have noticed that many of these have “disappeared” over the last couple of years though.

Good luck.

They cut out the link. Search for DAR (Daughters of the american Revolution) Enid Hall Griswold Scholarship
