I have been accepted into both UTD and Baylor, but I'm waiting on my scholarship offers. I received my offer from Baylor....50000 and it really doesn't help me much so I am waiting on my offer from UTD but I haven't heard back ( I was accepted in Nov) and I really would like at least my tuition covered. My cr/m is 1310/2060 but I have ALOT of leadership activities and volunteer hours and majoring in engineering. Can anyone tell me if that is possible? One of my friends, meet one of the admissions counselor and they said they look at everything?! Also how is engineering compared at both schools?

How does 50000 not help you?

Baylors tuition is about 33 to 35000 per year

I know. That’s what I mean. To me that seems like plenty. And it is a VERY generous offer.
Plus I’d rather go to Baylor than UTD.

That maybe true but the problem is I rather spend less on undergrad bc I am not so sure about engineering and might end up in pre-med.

I understand.
Well Texas has a lot of scholarships for its residents and some but few for non. So I’m sure you should receive a very good offer (but not as great as Baylor’s) from UTD.
Why didn’t you apply to UT Austin.

Do you just not like UTD? lol Are you considering Baylor? See I right now I am not so sure of where but I narrowed it down to these two schools. Baylor seems great but the tuition is very high, UTD has great education and tuition reasonable.
UT Austin, as shocking as this may sound, didn’t really appeal to me.

It’s not that I don’t like it, I think it’s a very great school that’s great for engineering. Its just in a very boring place in Dallas and it’s known for being just that; boring.
Yes I am considering Baylor but you’re right the tuition is very high.
My first choice is UT, I adore it very much and it’s one of the top schools in Texas for my desired major. Plus getting in auto admit is pretty sweet.

May I ask what are you majoring in? Yes aren’t we all thankful for auto admit? True,I just want to see what my best offer is between them.

Computer science but I’m also thinking of doing pre-med at the same time as well.
