Scholarships/Grants/Aid

Hi,

My daughter applied to SCU for (undergraduate) CS major as part of EA. But she got deferred.
SCU offered a different major in the School of Engineering or if we choose to stick to our first choice major, we will be differed and will be in Regular decision pool. We choose the second option( sticking to her first choice of major).

Her Stats are good and we are hoping that she will get in RD.

My question is: If she gets in RD, will she be considered for any Scholarships/Awards?

It is generally believed that colleges give preference in granting scholarships to students who apply in EA or ED pools.
Our situation is truly confusing. Though we have applied in EA pool, she was given a choice to choose a different major or choose to stick to the first choice of major and go through RD pool for the final decision.

Appreciate your inputs.

Cs in the school of engineering? Or arts and sciences?

she was offered a different major or be defered? I’m pretty sure she would get scholarships but maybe less. Maybe she could take the other major and try to transfer to CS in college or arts if she can

Computer Science and Engineering major is part of the School of Engineering.
She was deferred for the major she choose as her first choice(Computer Science and Engineering). We didn’t choose the different major which they offered from the School of Engineering and as well as CS major as part of the School of science & arts.
Now her application will be part of RD pool for further screening. We were asked to send her Mid-year report for the senior year and we did send that.
