The situation: I had my Common App part done over break (with the other early January apps), and I've been putting together the scholarship stuff ever since. Silly me. I decide that, since all the scholarships have to be submitted at one time online, to wait until the last day and do it all at once.

The problem: I just remember the Pre-app Supplement. And submitted it. Now it's still being processed. Which means I can't do my scholarships online (at least not until the Pre-app is processed, which doesn't seem to be anytime soon). Which means many bad things will happen.

I've already emailed the admissions processor person for my part of the alphabet, but that was after I got home from school, so she's probably already off work.

Any ideas, anyone? Please?

Once again, I apologize for being an idiot and gratefully thank any soul who has any ideas (other than a last-minute, half-day roadtrip to St. Louis).

I listened to a recorded message from the Admissions office when my daughter tried to submit a scholarship application online last weekend, and there was an error. I'm pretty certain the message said they would accept applications postmarked by the 15th of January. However, today is the 15th... so your best bet is to speak to somebody at the admissions department and see if they'll accept your application. Explain that you weren't able to submit your application online as you'd planned, and ask if they'll accept something if you send it overnight.

Are you sure it's still being processed? Did you actually try and sign in to check your status? I'm not exactly sure how long it takes them to process it.. but, you can check your status without an applicant ID (you just need your name, birthday and last digits of SSN). I never received a confirmation from WUSTL yet about my application, but when I signed in to the status page, it said they had received almost everything. Try signing in, you never know.

Thanks, everyone.
NUgard: I'm going to call first thing tomorrow morning and see what they can do.
nngmm: I know. I fail at this deadline business...I read that "do not wait until the last minute" note over last week and thought "hm, what can go wrong, seriously? I'll be fine next week." Oh, cruel irony.
b0oks123: I checked. no luck. thanks, though.

But I guess some things were meant to be. I don't think I had that good of a chance anyways. (still...the short answers were a surprisingly large amount of work. oh well...)

Something Silly, my daughter said the same thing as you - that her chances were poor, and why bother doing all the work to fill out the forms. I think it isn't high probability either, BUT... there's no way to get the scholarship if you don't try. I think it's an important way to live life - TRY. Keep at it! Try and get your application in, whether it results in a grant or not.
