SCHOLARSHIPS I got one today!

Hey guys a lot of people have been asking about the scholarships and I just wanted to let you all know I got the Pegasus Gold Scholarship =)

It came in the mail today in is for $12,000!

Congratulations! I did too for the $12k.

I recieved a scholarship from UCF today too…except I’ve never heard about it before. It’s called the Provost Scholarship, and it’s $20,000… Anyone ever recieved that before?? Because I thought the most you could get was the Gold Pegasus. Obviously, I’m happy with whatever this is :D

what were you guys stats?

Okay well my stats are:

4.7 weighted gpa
1320/1600 SAT
31/36 comp ACT

lots of community service, I don’t know if that matters for this ?

My stats:
Sat: 1440/2150
Act: 30
Ucf calculated gpa: 4.6ish
7 ap classes with 5s on the ones I’ve taken already (my school only offers 9 AP so that’s almost the maximum)

Somewhat weak ECs but this is an academic merit scholarship so I assume only grades, workload, and scores matter.

S looked online and he was awarded silver award. Does anyone know how much the 2011 scholarship is? Can’t locate any info online. His stats 3.8 UW/4.1W GPA, ACT 28

sd1799 - are you a graduate student? The info I found online indicates its a $10K per year scholarship for top level graduate students. Congrats!!!

Congratulations to everyone! Where online, I’m assuming on myUCF, will it have these listed?

Yes, when you log into MYUCF, in the Student self service scroll to Undergraduate Admissions section. If you’ve been awarded a scholarship, you’ll have a “Scholarship Status” link.

I got the Pegasus Gold one too…but for $30,000 because I haven’t done the in-state residency form. So once I become in-state, I’ll lose $18,000, lol.

Speaking of which, all I have to do to claim in-state tuition is submit that form (https://admissions.ucf.edu/secure/secure/flresidency.asp</a>) on their website that asks for your driver license info, dependence status and Social Security number?

LBJRomMom- No, I’m an incoming undergraduate. I showed my guidance counselor the letter and she said it must be a new scholarship because she has never seen it before (the highest award has always been pegasus gold). I can’t find any information on it online (besides that scholarship for graduates you mentioned). Thanks though!

Yeah, I received the Provost scholarship a few days ago too. The interwebs say nothing about it though.

My friend’s son also received the new Provost Scholarship. I had never heard of that one before either. He also had over a 1400/1600 SAT and is ranked in the top 3% of his HS and took lots of AP classes.

How do I accept my scholarship on myucf?

KervinsS23 just log onto myUCF and scroll down to where it says undergraduate admissions and click on scholarship status. You can accept it there.

Also, I wasn’t aware they raised the Pegasus Gold! That’s good considering the rising cost of tuition. I’m currently a sophomore at UCF and when I was accepted for Fall 2009 the Pegasus Gold was only $10,000.

Alright thanks!

BTW when I get there how do I use this? It the money just automatically deducted for the tuition or can I use for books and stuff?

Kervin - log into MYUCF, in the Student self service scroll to Undergraduate Admissions section, click the “Scholarship Status” link 3/4 way down the page. You can accept, decline or pend. Congratulations!
