Scholarships out of state?

Hi!
For those who got a scholarship (out of state) to UNC, what type of ACT or SAT do scholarship recipients usually have?
Thanks!

^The scholarships are not predominantly based around test scores.

That said, I had a 2180 (780V/630M/770W) and received a full ride OOS. I have no idea what scores other recipients get, but I do know the average SAT math+verbal score is around 1455 or so for the Honors college. A lot of scholars end up being in the Honors college as well.

Thanks dude, would you happen to know if they consider CR + M scores only? Or do they consider all three? (For scholarships)

They consider all three scores. They also consider other factors as well.

The scholarships are much more than just SAT scores.

What would an average GPA be like? I’m wondering if as an OOS student a 2320 and a 4.46 GPA (4.6-66 without freshman year) could have a chance.

There’s way more to them than GPA/test scores. I was OOS with a 36 act and a 4.37 GPA and I did not get invited to the honors college/receive merit aid. However, as May 1st approached, they invited me to all sorts of honors programs to make up for it? They tell you that $/honors college is based mainly on essays, and that’s probably true.

I would agree that essays make the difference. Pretty much anyone getting in OOS is going to have the same sort of stats and a nice complement of ECs. When I got a call about scholarship day, the professor I talked to mentioned my essay in particular and asked me questions about it. Nice to hear they actually read them, haha
