I toured UCF this past summer, and was informed that if I was accepted, I would also receive information regarding the scholarships I would receive once I enrolled. They specifically stated that I would be able to see this before making my decision. However, I've been accepted for the Fall 2014 term, and have also received my official letter, and nothing has said that I will receive any scholarship money. Do they tell us this later, or does this mean I'm not getting a scholarship from them?
Thank you!

Wolfeman,

I spoke to admissions and if this information is accurate, they stated they have not started looking at them yet. The lady stated they are still going over acceptance for admissions. She stated they would start in Nov-Dec. So I am hoping the information she gave me is correct as my new set of ACT scores will be back by then along with my end of Senior semester grades. This should give me the boost I need for monies or so I hope. I was told to email the scholarship board as well for info which I did, but have not yet heard back from them. Once I do, if there is any valuable info I will post it here for others. Best of luck to you !!!

Alisoneilf-
Thank you very much! I emailed them as well, but haven’t received a reply, so I thought I’d try my luck here.
So what you’re saying is that they’ll review accepted students for scholarships around next month, because they’re still going through admissions.
What email did you use for the scholarship board? I looked around, but financial aid was the closest one I could find.

I got accepted for the Summer 2014 term back in September and I had recently emailed financial aid about when they start handing out scholarships, and they forwarded my email to scholarships@ucf.edu and they replied that they begin scholarship reviewing on October 15. I’m really hoping I get a scholarship.
Good Luck to you guys too.

Nicole,
are you out of state?

Wolfeman,

Sorry I did not see your thread. Nicole is right, I emailed them at that address she listed, but they have not answered back. It took me some time in admissions to get a straight fwd answer, but that is what I was told. They start review in Nov. is what they said. I think Nicole is more spot on though as that seems to follow more in tradition with their normal pattern.

alisoneilf,

No im in-state I live in southwest florida. I visited the campus twice and love the school, I can’t wait to go (:

What are your guys’ stats btw?

My stats:
30 ACT, or 31 if you superscore
35 Reading, 31 English, 31 Science, 28 Math
Either valedictorian or salutatorian. In-state.
4.0 unweighted, 4.65 weighted GPA
All honors or AICE classes. I have like 3 or 4 AICE credits.

Oh dang that’s pretty good. Mine are
26 ACT or 27 super score
still waiting for SAT scores
4.3 gpa
bunch of EC’s (varsity sports, nhs, etc)
200 community service hours
Graduate high school with an AA degree because of duel enrollment.

Does UCF superscore the ACT?
Nicole I am where you are, however your AA degree is impressive. I have dual enrolled classes, but not that.
All of your stats worry me, I thought I was a good student until I saw everyones stats on here. I will hope for the best.

alisoneilf- I toured UCF this past summer and I am like 98% sure they superscore. I also toured USF, and I thought they both did, but I may be wrong.

Hi Wolfeman,

I called admissions to check, they superscore the SAT, not the ACT so my advice to everyone is take the SAT, it gives you and advantage if you do better.
Wolfeman, which college did you like better UCF or USF? I am OOS and it is so hard to tell things like that from afar. UCF looks better from what I can tell, but I am not absolutely sure.
I also talked to the scholarship board and Nicole is right they start reviews after Oct 15. They meet monthly. If any new scores or grades come in they will consider them for monies. Hope this helps. Best of luck everyone.

anyone get any scholarships yet?

I haven’t yet, but hopefully I’ll be notified soon.
I swear they told me they superscored both, but I guess it may’ve been USF.
I have to say they seem pretty equal to me. UCF is bigger obviously, and I get the impression they focus more on adding on to the school, and less on giving scholarship money. USF will most likely offer me the most, so I’ll probably end up there. Based off campuses alone, I’d say they are equal.
