Scholarships?

Hey I was accepted to Scranton last month and I have a few concerns. First in my acceptance packed there was no scholarship letter or anything. Does this mean I have to pay full price which is like 33,000 +? And on my letter it says that I got into a general studies program or something? Scranton has 3 colleges right? One I think was for students who are interested in the medical field like me. How do you get into that one? The letter said my program is for students who have not decided a major. But I know what I want to major in. Can some one who knows Scranton explain this to me.

There are many more qualified than I to address your questions as my oldest is a senior going through the decision process now. But, I can tell you, her acceptance to Scranton included a scholarship offer and indicated acceptance into her specific major (also in the medical field).

That being said, I’d strongly encourge you to contact Scranton’s admissions dept to clarify. Confirm that you completed the application correctly, indicated your intended major and even ask for a re-evaluation if need be.

I got an acceptance letter several weeks ago and it indicated the major i was accepted into (History) and a merit scholarship. You should probably contact them.

Do you know the name of the school you were accepted to?

I also received in my letter mention of a merit scholarship as well as acceptance into
the bio major.

Many schools include need based scholarships in a later mailing.
