scholarships

does anyone know what the cut off is for SAT scholarships?

i got a 1310 and was wondering if that would get me some money

i don't think there are "cut-offs" in the sense of 1350-scholarship, 1340-nothing...a couple friends of mine had higher sat scores than me but were less involved in the community/school and got lesser scholarships...sooo?

i haven't gotten a scholarship letter yet. should i be worried? i think i'll call. i really should get SOMETHING

When did you turn in your ap? I got my scholarship letter about a month after I sent in my ap, and I waited FOREVER for an admissions decision

i sent in my app by mid or early october i think. got a decision about mid november. then i got an honors college letter. but i want a MONEY letter!!

My D got an acceptance letter...no scholarship letter. When will it arrive...if ever? Anyone heard about any monies yet?

i did my app online in early november, heard back regarding admission middle of that month (approx. 2 weeks later), and received the letter about my scholarship right after thanksgiving break (end of november/beginning of december)

I have understood from the admissions office that the average for merit based scholarship (I do not know about need) was over 1400 and top 4% of class. This would be to get the $10,000 Merit scholarship and additional, the hightest 12 applicants would eventually get a full ride scholarship.

My son was top 1% and over 1400, and he didn't get that :(

I would call the Admissions Office as it seems very willing to investigate the status of your application and how their process for selecting scholarships works. If you call them and learn anything specific about dates etc, post it.

how many students qualify to apply for the Chancellor's Undergrad Scholarship? Correct me if I'm wrong, but only 12 students actually get it? oi, I'm definitely not going to be among them, lol!

Only 12 get the full scholarship covering everything, but I think many get the $10,000 dollar scholarship. If you got into Honors, you have a chance at the 10,000 as well as the full scholarship but only 12 get the full scholarship. And not everyone who gets into Honors gets the 10,000 scholarship. As I said, the AVERAGE receiving the 10,000 got 1420 on s.a.t., 4.1 or 4.2 weighted and were in top 3-4% of class--higher statistics than the requirements to get into Honors . The financial aid office is helpful so if you want clarification, give them a call.

dear ikf 25: I am not sure the financial offers have come out yet. Do they come around the same time as the acceptance and Honors acceptance? I thought they might come later but I do not know. I will check with the office next week.
