Scholarships

How does the process work?
When you do apply for them before March (when you know which colleges accepted you) or anytime really, are they compatible for any college,
or do you have to apply for a scholarship at a specific college after being accepted by one?

Most of the best scholarships are offered by the colleges themselves. Some require a separate app or require you to apply by a certain date.

MANY have November or early Dec deadlines (many have Dec 1st deadlines). So, if you want scholarships

Scholarships from colleges are often the best because they’re for higher amounts and for all four years.

Other scholarships are often for only one year and they’re for smaller amounts. These other scholarships (outside scholarships, private corporation scholarships, etc) often have deadlines, too. Many before Jan 1.

Why don’t you tell us what your stats are (include SAT breakdown). Tell us your major, and anything else that you like about various colleges.

Also, tell us how much scholarship money you need? Full tuition scholarship? More? Less? How much will your family spend each year on college?

Then we can direct you to where you should apply.
