Scholarships

Scholarships are finally online. I got the Trustee for $13,000 at both SAS and SEBS and a $3500 Scarlet for SOE. Honestly, I thought I would definitely get at least the $16,000 Trustee and was hoping for a Presidential. The only reason I thought I wouldn't get a Presidential is due to my grades and class rank.

Stats:
SAT: 2330 single-sitting --> 760 CR, 770 M, 800 W, 11 essay
SAT IIs: 760 Math II, 800 US History
GPA: 3.85 UW, 5.28 W
Rank: top 10%, but school doesn't rank

Should I call admissions? Will it possibly change the amount?

Congrats on receiving the scholarships variable7. Presidential scholarships are getting really competitive, it seems. Your stats are really good and I feel that you really deserved to get it. You can try calling the admissions, but in my honest opinion, I don’t think it will make a difference.

By the way, I never heard of the Trustees Scholarship before. There doesn’t seem to be anything about it mentioned in the website. Is this the same as the Carr scholarship? What are the credentials required to qualify for the Trustees Scholarship?

I got the Presidential Scholarship! With a 3.97 unweighted and 4.9 weighted, and with 34 on ACT (35 superscored).

Thanks. I already emailed admissions, hopefully they can review my application. The trustee scholarship was created last year, and is for two different amounts: $13,000 and $16,000. Rumor has it that Rutgers got rid of some of the Presidentials and made them into Trustee awards.

Please let us know what happens. I’m planning to negotiate my Scarlet Scholarship. :/
