Scholarships?

Hi, I am currently a sophomore in high school. I have an interest in not only attending the UO, but also getting an academic scholarship as well. It states, on the UO website that “Minimum 3.80 high school GPA on a 4.00 scale” is one of the three requirements to obtain the Summit scholarship, which is $36,000 throughout the four years of college.

I was just want to know how this “high school GPA on a 4.0 scale” is calculated. For example: Is freshman year included in this calculation; how about the first or second semester of senior year? Also, what does it mean by “on a 4.0 scale”.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don’t quote me on this but both of my kids received the summit scholarship (we are from California) and their cumulative GPA’s were 3.88 and 4.17 (including ap/honors classes). My son’s UC GPA was 3.77 so it seems like they take cumulative weighted. I would call and talk to admissions though. They are very friendly and helpful.
