I have not applied for any scholarships yet (I am in 12th grade). The reason for it is because I am going to a community college first and than transferring to a university after my first year.
I was wondering, can scholarships transfer?
Like if i go to a community college with my state scholarship and than transfer to a university will that said scholarship transfer with me?.
Sometimes. If you have something like Bright Futures or Hope, you can transfer them. You have to check the terms, but usually there is a process to notify the agency running the scholarship program.
If it is a scholarships from the school, then it is most likely NOT eligible for transfer, but from the state, then it might be.
You’re a FL resident. Do you qualify for the state’s scholarship? It appears that your SAT might be too low.
I think you’ll need to stay at your CC for 2 years to avoid using your test scores when you transfer. I don’t think UF will accept a transfer after only one year with a SAT in the 900s with a more modest Weighted GPA (for UF)

My SAT score is in the 900's and my GPA is a 3.5 weighted <<<

UF only accept transfers from CC’s that have earn their AA degree or have 60 credits.
If you qualify for Bright Futures, you can take it with you to UF from any other state school (CC or florida public university).
The FAS level of Bright Futures requires a 1290+ on the SAT (29+ on ACT), the FMS level requires a 1170 SAT (26+ACT). There are a few exceptions, such as National Merit Finalists and Scholars, National Hispanic Scholars, earning an IB or AICE high school diploma, etc.
Thank you so so so much! @Gator88NE I am working on getting my SAT up for the scholarship!
