Scholarships

Do I need to apply separately for any scholarships at Mich? (I applied EA)

For some, there are separate applications. Be sure to check the university websites. My daughter was an engineering applicant last year, and at least one of the potential scholarships required a separate application form.

Candidates are selected – no need to apply – for the “largest” 4-year merit-based freshman scholarships, such as:
https://leadersandbest.umich.edu/scholarships-stamps
https://lsa.umich.edu/scholarships/prospective-students.html
http://scholarships.engin.umich.edu/new-students/

However, there are also other smaller departmental/donor-sponsored scholarships available, that one can/should apply to individually, such as:

https://lsa.umich.edu/scholarships/current-students.html
https://lsa.umich.edu/math/undergraduates/awards–scholarships–and-prizes/departmental-scholarships.html
https://bellscholarship.org/
etc

While we’re at this, here are additional schollies from Google (not just to UMich):

My kiddo was selected for a departmental scholarship. A very good one. $5,000 each year for 4 years. She didn’t do any special specific application for it, just followed the admissions directions for general scholarships. She’s in LSA.
