Are there any special scholarships for Clemson Honors or out of state tuition?
@rebeccarob unfortunately, acceptance to Calhoun Honors college does not provide any additional scholarship money. Clemson does give OOS merit. For the class of 2024, students needed to meet the test score ranges below, be in the top 10% (or estimated to be in the top 10% based on the class profile/decile sent by the high school’s guidance counselor) and apply by the priority deadline to be CONSIDERED. These are the calculations from the NPC:
SAT 1590-1600/ACT 36 - $12,000
SAT 1540-1580/ACT 35 - $12,000
SAT 1500-1530/ACT 34 - $12,000
SAT 1460-1490/ACT 33 - $9,000
SAT 1430-1450/ACT 32 -$9,000
SAT 1400-1420/ACT 31 - $7,500
SAT 1370-1390/ACT 30 - $7,500
SAT 1340-1360/ACT 29 - $5,000
Please note that NPC/merit award amounts are updated each January, after applications are due. Acceptance letters will mention if a student has been awarded a merit scholarship, but the amount is not communicated until mid February. I haven’t heard of anyone receiving merit with an uwgpa under 3.85, although I cannot confirm that.
Clemson also offers a National Scholar program; each year 30 nominees are chosen from the honors college applications, then out of those nominees 10 honors students receive the full COA merit award.
