scholarships

Do you have the same change for a merit scholarship (without applying for financial aid) if you are admitted in the early decision round? Does good students have better chances in getting those scholarships if they wait to apply until regular decision? Besides Erwin scholarships recipients, are there any early decision applicants that has gotten a part or full tuition merit scholarship?

There is a unique round for the Ervin Scholarship for ED students, so you only compete with other ED students and you find out if you got the scholarship when you find out if you got in or not.

I know Jeffwun, I was asking for the other scholarships. My S got one but he applied to regular decision; now it's my D's turn, and she isn't sure if applying early it's a good choice; she wants to go to Wash U, but she also wants to have a chance with the scholarships.
Are you happy there? Do you have extra work with the Ervin scholarship?

A lot of WashU's scholarships require an extra seminar class, but it's usually just a one-credit, pass/fail class with absolutely no work required. The only scholarship group I know of that actually has work to do for the program is the Nemerov, I think.
