Does anyone know of scholarships that everyone can apply for? I'm having trouble finding some. Anything will help. Thanks!

Fastweb has quite a few to select from...also search the internet for specific interests.

Here are some suggestions:

Sign up for online scholarship services. Here are a couple that you can use to compare scholarships:
-www.fastweb.com (#1 choice)

There are many more, of course. Choose the ones you would access the most. Then visit www.finaid.com for more information.

Check your local library/bookstores for scholarship books.

You can find lots of books on scholarships with plenty of lists and suggestions. I would not suggest buying a book because you can find everything you need on the internet without paying a cent (If you really want to, you can of course). Take a pen and a piece of paper and write down all the scholarships you're interested in and then go home and google them for the application and for the most up-to-date info.

Visit your school's career center or a university's undergraduate scholarship office.

If you don't already, you should visit your career center on a regular basis. You can find many local scholarships here. You should talk to your advisor about these. Also check out the school website for more info as well as the website of the scholarship office at the college you'd like to attend. They should have scholarships on their website.

Check in your community for scholarships through employers and organizations.

You can check with different companies to see if they have scholarships (i.e. Safeway, Best Busy, Wal-Mart). I know that the ones I just listed each have scholarships. Check in your community for local ones. Also if you volunteer try asking them if they offer scholarships. Finally, you can find scholarships through your church, mosque, or synagogue if you attend one. They may be able to help you.

Word-specific searches.

One other option is to use google and make word-specific searches such as "high school senior scholarships for leadership." The better terms to throw in are thing specific to you (e.g. disability, overcoming adversity, first generation). Filter through the results and click on links that look promising. You can find lots of opportunities this way.
