<p>University wide, your info on the app are used to qualify you for $$. Some colleges will have their own app for students to fill out. Each college and dept can award out money. They amount they award varies. </p>
<p>The college I am in (Ag) awards $2 million annually to its students, including freshmen. While my roommate, who is business, did not receive anything substantial from Smeal. We are also both freshmen. </p>
<p>Regardless, you will be notified if you get money around late Feb-March, most likely at the same time you receive your FinAid package.</p>
