<p>As an OOS student, the only thing keeping Cal my number 2 and Umich my number 1 is money. UMich Engineering has offered (I didn't even apply) a 32,000 scholarship over 4 years. Is Cal this generous is any scholarships, or anything that could offset the OOS tuition?</p>

<p>hey, wow, I'm in the same boat! I got enough scholarship from umich to only have a yearly loan of 4k(3k after Pell), everything else is covered.</p>

<p>I'm OOS too, and it doesn't appear that Cal is that generous. Although as OOS there was this Alumni Scholarship that I applied for. It's only a few thousands a year though... in state students have much more ways of getting money. I think it would be better to depend on outside scholarships for Cal.</p>

Looks like we're screwed since Cal doesn't give out much money, at all. =[</p>

<p>still though, it's a task to get accepted into CAL as an OOS in the first place. Let's aim for that goal first!</p>

<p>In this time, OOS are probably going to get a higher rate of acceptance but also at the same time, less fin-aid. UC's need the money because California is getting owned so hard by budget cuts. As a senior in high school, my 2400 student school is cutting 20 or more of its teachers.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if Berkeley is more generous than UCSD in that department?</p>

<p>All I know is, with Regents, the "most prestigious award across UC campuses", Berkeley gives the least amount of money.
I heard Berkeley gives 2k a year with that scholarship.
Santa Barbara gives 6k a year. Davis offered me 7.5k a year.</p>

<p>Regents gives 1K a year or up to your "financial need" as determined my your EFC. so if your EFC is very low, you could essentiall get a "free ride".</p>
