I see from the site that they give minor scholarships of $3000 for internationals and these do not require an application. What types of stats receive these. How about the major scholarships?

hey, good for you!

DOUGLAS HALL FIRST CHOICE! You need a 33, 34 ACT and a 3.8 GPA. Add in a few extracurriculars, some nice hardwares and titles and you should be pretty set for a major scholarships. Write some nice essays, talk about how you love mcgill and how the program you are in would fit your interests exactly.

You also get DOUGLAS HALL FIRST CHOICE!!

^ I disagree. You apply to major scholarships with a separate application on minerva. Winning a major scholarship doesn’t have anything to do with bs saying how much you think you fit into McGill - I didn’t write that anywhere on mine. Yes, there’s a writing part, but also a section for all your extracurricular accomplishments.

From what I understand, entrance scholarship look at test scores & gpa. Major renewable scholarships are much more. I have a major renewable, so if you want to message me specifically, I can answer your questions about what particulars I had.

If you have an ACT score below 33, can you get any scholarships as a U.S. resident? The website was a little unclear about that. I have a 32, but good grades & E.C.s
