GPA: 4.18 W (about 3.8 UW)
ACT: 35
Rank: my school only releases quartiles, but top quartile

I’ve taken basically all AP and honors classes and am involved in multiple clubs, two sports (captain of one), and my local volunteer ambulance squad. I was also invited to apply for the guaranteed medical program at pitt (so many extra essays to write in addition to the chancellors ones, yikes!)

Hope that helps, and good luck to all of those who have not received their notification yet!

My acceptance letter didn’t mention anything about scholarships OR the UHC, either now or coming potentially to me in the future. Does that mean that I shouldn’t expect either one? :/

My daughter received her scholarship letter today. Full tuition. Her stats are 4.28 weighted GPA (3.9 unweighted) and 33 ACT. She is OOS. 6 AP courses and 14 accelerated courses.

Congrats to all! My son got full Tuition last year and we decided that graduating college debt free was a very good thing. He is very happy in his first year at Pitt.

yea i got invited to apply for the chancellors. dont know what chance I’ll have though seeing as i didnt even get full OOS tuition. or is chancellors for ppl who didnt already get the full OOS or IS tuition?

maybe i’ll just call and ask about the appeals process…i wanna go soooo bad hahaha but it costs twice as much as Purdue. darn

I just looked at my son’s letters from last year and the acceptance letter was separate from the scholarship letter (they were dated Nov. 16 and Nov. 23, respectively). So I don’t think you should assume that you won’t be offered a scholarship just yet. Eligibility for the Honors College was, however, mentioned in the acceptance letter, so I don’t know what to say about that…

Also, I want to congratulate everyone who was offered a scholarship. These things are very competitive and you should be really proud of your achievement!

D was excited today to receive her Full Tuition scholarship letter and invitation to apply for Chancellor’s scholarship. She’s a 4.0 unweighted 34 ACT NMSF OOS student. Anyone know how many Chancellor’s scholarships are awarded?

Reply to GiantsFan18: I just received my scholarship letter, I received full tuition (in-state) + invitation to apply for the Chancellor’s scholarship. Here are my stats (copypasted from the decisions thread):

Accepted to the College of Arts & Sciences (geology major, hoping to add another major/a couple minors in as many foreign languages as I can handle)

SAT: 2270 (700 Math, 800 Critical Reading, 770 Writing)
SAT II: none
GPA: 99.5/100
Rank: 4/101 (after jr. year)
Other stats: AP English Language - 5 (Currently taking AP Calc AB, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP English Lit, the AP Histories, the AP Governments, and AP German)
Subjective: plenty of extracurriculars, volunteer work, “leadership positions”, etc.

Looks like posts for schol letters have subsided since last week. Does that mean if you didn’t get one by now, you aren’t getting any schol money?

I am in the same boat… Hopefully thats not the case but does anyone know for sure this year if honors college invites would come with the normal acceptance letter?

I just got my letter last night. Full scholarship (OOS).

ACT: 30 (34 English, 31 math)
PSAT: National Achievement Scholar Semifinalist
GPA: School doesn’t release a GPA, just the transcript with letter grades, but in junior year I got As in physics, English, history, Spanish, chorus, and dance; and a B+ in math, which was a sort of pre-precalc course.
APs: I’m taking AP Spanish and AP micro this year, and all my math classes (except for junior year) were accelerated. My school doesn’t offer honors.

ECs: dance (student choreographer), chorus (section leader), plays and musicals, Sweet Adelines select choir member

I also got the email saying that the admissions committee liked my essay.

@hockeybear and rachelmk. My acceptance letter didn’t say anything about scholarships and I got a letter two days ago stating I was awarded $10,000 per year so don’t be discouraged

I’m excited! Hope I get some scholarships. 32 ACT, 3.8 UW GPA (7 APs, As in all of them), lots of leadership, research, and global volunteering experience. I am OOS.

I also applied for the GAP in medicine. Got the email saying they liked my essay.
