Just wondering… has anyone gotten results for the NYC region in writing? When are they being sent out?

^they have, i think.

question-- can you submit work for the portfolio category that has already been recognized by scholastic?

^ Yes. You just can’t enter it in an individual category again.

so does the american tree email mean nothing?
I got it but nothing yet!

anyone know when we hear about the national awards?

also, what are the statistics/numbers on that? my understanding was that they chose 12 top portfolios from 2,000? is that right?

Last year national writing found out in early April.

So far, have people found out (I’m talking about non-RAL here) through teachers or by email/mail directly to them?

when will they post their list of gold key winners on their website? Im dying to know.

They said March, but I guess they’re late (still putting together the list?) Weird. FAIL!

on the scholastic site? they only put up a list of the gold award, not gold key, winners.

Oh, I know they have gold award winners on their site permanently, but in March they said they will post a list of gold key winners, just temporary for 2009.

I just joined this discussion so I am not sure if this has already been addressed, have visual art awards already been decided for the RAL?

^Yes, I believe they have alongside the writing awards.

Gold Key. :)

is it true that region-at-large only gives out gold keys, and not silver keys?

does anyone know when they will post the list of gold key winners n their website? ive been waiting and waiting…

my friend, who won a gold award last year, said that scholastic was kind of unorganized in notifying people. she got her notification for gold key in march (i dont know when in march) by mail, she just received a large package, it had nothing to do with our school.

The organization is remarkably disorganized for such a large operation (this is an observation over time, not an interjection).

Does anyone know when the national winners are notified?

I’d heard/read early April, but I’m not sure of an exact date.

when i registered to turn in something for scholastic awards, the paper said national awards would be notified at end of april, but they’ll only notify those who make it to nationals, i think…

Has anyone here won an American National Tree Award before?
