<p>Are you submitting? In what?</p>

<p>Last year I entered for jewelry and won a gold key/lost at the national level (I was fairly happy since I entered for the heck of it/to see how I would do). I will probably submit more of my jewelry work this year and then am expanding to the ceramic/glass category and submitting some of my glass platters, might submit a painting, I haven’t decide on that one. This is what happens when you go to an art school/take a ton of art classes…your portfolio becomes too big.</p>

<p>Haha. I submitted two sucky peices of poetry last year for the same reason (I already knew that I couldn’t write poetry, but I wanted to see what would happen). Luckily, I also submitted a short story that won a national gold.</p>

<p>I submitted to YoungArts and didn’t win anything. won a regional award from scholastic last year. I’m doing the portfolio this year.</p>

<p>Yup, I submitted a collection of five poems. Hope they fare well!</p>

<p>I’m submitting a lot more this year than I did last year - three poem collections, two science fiction/fantasy short stories, and a humor piece. Last year I got a silver key in poetry and I feel like I’ve gotten a lot better in a year so… here’s hoping for better results this year!</p>

<p>Anyone else nervous for results? My region’s results come out in a little over a week, and I’m definitely nervous!</p>

<p>does anybody know when they notify the california region?</p>

<p>this year, i won honorable mention in short story and merit award in poetry for youngarts. last year, i won regional gold in scholastics.</p>

<p>hopefully, this season of scholastic and next year’s youngarts will be more successful. :]</p>

<p>Submitted to the CA region of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards 2013 for poetry, humor, short story, and persuasive essay. Winner notification is supposed to happen at the “end of January” but so far I haven’t heard anything. Does anyone know if the CA region winner notification has happened yet?</p>

<p>Last year, I won a gold key in photography. This January I was a finalist for YoungArts! It was an amazing experience. This year I submitted some scripts and a film to Scholastic again.</p>
