@wynlyfe I think they’re only judged at the national level, so you’ll have to wait until then? I dunno.

Just got an email back from the awards… my region is announcing around the end of the month to the beginning of the next… #thewaitiskillingme

My region has simply said February 2 for the date. I really hope I make it crosses fingers
How do I know if I properly submitted? I’m afraid that my forms weren’t postmarked on time. Is there something I can check on my account that shows that my writing was submitted and is under review?
@otter101 The postmark date is the date that you gave it to the post office, not the day that they receive. And sadly, there’s no way to know if they actually received it unless your own region is really organized and sends you confirmation emails. (My writing region is, but the art is completely chaotic)
My email said February 2nd.
I really hope I get something! I wish I had learned about this competition earlier in high school, and not senior year 
@OverInfinity Ah, thank you! Yes, I think I did postmark them a day late, though. I found out about the deadline the day before and scrambled through my computer files to submit something. But luckily, I just got an email today saying February 2nd for me too! So I guess it’s in!
@OverInfinity Starting Monday I’m going to start checking my email slightly obsessively, hahaha.

I’m in the midwest, regional results have been out for over a week now.
I got a Gold Key for one of my photographs
A Silver Key for my portfolio
And an HM for another photograph
I was wondering whether I should send updates to the schools I applied to with this information since I am a senior and these schools are quite competitive. Should I contact the colleges with this? How should I go about it? This would be in regards to schools like Harvard, Brown/RISD, Vanderbilt…

Do you know anything about the writing letters?? dies Or are they all mailed at the same time? I wonder why they mail letters instead of email.
