scholorship/ honors program?

I got accepted into SAS in mid-late November and I just got my Honors College Acceptance. You would probably want to get the letter before February because there is a scholars day on the 22nd of February and the response form must be returned by the 8th of February. I bet they are sending all of the letters out right now and if you will probably get them soon. If you meet all of the criteria (1350+ SAT, 650+ Verbal, top 10%) there is no reason to be worried.

In addition, I got my scholarship information about a week ago. I think it is more a testament to how they will wait to send certain things until they have received most/all of their applications more than the college being really slow at getting stuff out.

Thanks for the kind post, Liebo. DD is right on the knife's edge for top 10 percent, hence the worry. But she got the scholarship info for top 10 percent, so we're hoping all will go well. Thanks again!

I got accepted to Rutgers by Dec 4 or 5. I received a letter stating that I was invited to the School of Arts and Sciences Honor Program fresh out of the mailbox yesterday, which was mailed out on the 17th. I am a bit worried though because I thought that you are supposed to hear about your scholarship by now. Should I be worried or does that come much later on since some people on here have said it should come before the Honors notification?

haven't received anything either and i was accepted 2 months ago. do you need to apply for financial aid in order to hear from them?

the admissions office said scholarship notification should be going out very very soon

scholarship came in the mail today.

Did they say anything about the honors program?

Nope, I'm not top 10% (10th of 82, sucks to have a small class)

hey about the 7 year med program - I was accepted to regular rutgers the end of november, but we wont find out about the program for a while...we should hear about first round of interviews sometime during january or february

My scholarship offer letter came today from Rutgers - I love getting mail haha. I got my acceptance to into the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program last week. So I'm basically set =)

DD got letter of acceptance into SAS Honors today, phew! Scholarship info came first. Still waiting for info on Engineering Honors.

I emailed the Dean of the School of Engineering. He said that applications for the Honors Program for SOE will be mailed out in mid-February.

Hope that helps! =)

Yes, it does help a lot! Thank you!

To those who got into SAS honrs, what stats did you have? I got Newark honors, but can you get into SAS honors with a 32 on the ACT?

I got into SAS Honors in New Brunswick. I had a 700 CR, 650 M, 710 W. My gpa is a 95.8 weighted at a top 5 high school in the NJ. That is pretty much all they look at. I did extracurriculars and all that jazz as well. About the ACT, I'm sure they have some conversion equivalent but I do not know what that number is.

i got into SAS witha 32 on my act...

So I found out that I got accepted into SAS (New Brunswick) last night through the Rutgers undergraduate admissions website. Is it supposed to tell you there whether you got into the Honors Program too? I haven't gotten an official letter in the mail yet, so would it be in there?

My stats: 4.2 weighted GPA, top 10% of my class, 750-Reading, 750-Math, 700-Writing.

Cad99 - damn, you are definitely in - you will get a letter in the near future letting you know that you are being offered a spot in the honors program, as well as a nice scholarship offer I'm sure

When do they usually notify you about if you got into the honors program if you sent in an application?

Bumping the previous question
