To anyone who has gone through the experience of applying to schools...

I was just curious if I could get any feedback on school selection. My GPA is over 3.8 and MCAT over 40. I'd say that my EC's are about average.

Right now, my list is in the mid 20's, but I'm not sure if I have enough "safeties" (don't think there's really such a thing with regards to getting into Med school), and additonally, whether the amount of schools I have could be counterproductive in the sense that it will overload me reducing the likelihood of each school. Roughly speaking, what do you think of this list? Too long, too top heavy, any thoughts appreciated as this is pretty tentative though I'm short on time. NY is state of residence. Right now, it looks like I've got about 25 schools, which I think could be excessive. Anyone have any specific cuts based either on not being a fan of a particular school/it being unlikely I'll get in or for any other reasons.

Any advice much appreciated.
