For application, a minimum of 4 units of English is required to apply to UC. Since I’m a junior, I’ve only taken 3 English classes throughout the freshmen-junior years. In my senior year, I will take my 4th English class. When I apply, I will have my junior year transcript with my senior classes. Is this okay? I’ll be in the process of completing my 4th English class for 4 English units. The same also goes for electives.
They count classes taken senior year.

your registrar at your high school will send your transcript to the school it will show the classes you are taking senior year and they will count them. not only am i the mom of a UC student, but my job is to send the transcript and letters of rec for the seniors at the high school i work at.
