School Does Not Have NHS?

What to do?

Don’t worry about it. NHS is a stupid resume padder that colleges don’t care about. Do something fun and meaningful with your life instead.

You will not be penalized for not participating in a club because your school does not offer it. Also, @snowfairy137 is right so you do not need to get stressed out and try to start your own NHS chapter at your own school (although it could be impressive if you did).

Most colleges don’t care about NHS, since so many applicants are involved in it. I personally wasn’t involved in NHS, and I still got into college.

Colleges really don’t care that much about NHS anymore- all it means is that you are strong academically and involved in the community, which you can demonstrate without being in that club.

Participate in academic/leadership/volunteer activities that are available to you. Even though NHS does have certain characteristics that can not be found in other activities, most of the characteristics that matter can be.
