I know that some boarding schools have more formal dress codes than others but what are all of the schools?

Andover: no dress code
Exeter: guys shirt and tie, girls have to look presentable, no spaghetti straps or low necklines
Deerfield: guys shirt and tie, girls two visible layers, no jeans

lol, that's all I know. You can check other threads or go to the schools' website, hope I helped!

At SPS you bascially can't wear blue jeans or sweatpants to class, and no tshirts with designs. As long as you look decent you can basically get away with anything.

ya I think its funny how most schools with formal dress codes have way stricter guidelines for guys.

i love how andover has no dress code, but i am pretty sure people still dress nicely!?

Middlesex- Collared shirt. No jeans.

Hey -- So, I wear leggings basically every day. I was wondering if this would be accepted? My shirts cover everything, and are nice (no spaghetti-straps, I don't reveal midriff, etc...) but I'm curious. Leggings? Yes? No?

You could probably get a way with leggings, but New England winters are pretty cold. But don't worry a popular trend is leggings, uggs, mini skirts and sweaters even when it's snowing of 10 below.

i hate when people wear leggings and those banded shirts. unless you can pull it off! but i dont think most schools will mind as long as they aren't see through, like tights or stockings. but it is freezing in new england in the winter! i am sticking with jeans and tons of woolen socks :)
